I am a Worry Wart
Sep. 4th, 2012 09:16 pmSo, my wonderful daughter is going France to take pictures for a book that her business partner is writing. She's arriving in Marseilles then taking a train to Avignon, France.
So a couple of years ago she went to New Zealand for 3 months, backpacking around with her friend. She flew out alone and met up with her friend and she had a great time.
And I was totally cool with this trip until her partner said when she gets to the Marseilles to never make eye contact with anyone or talk to anyone because the people there will try to scam you or try to steal stuff from you.
So I'm like, he's just exaggerating. But then when we're googling finding the train I read all these accounts of people getting mugged at the ATM, pick pocketing, etc. So now I'm worried. Sigh
I go between thinking that I'm sure crime happens anywhere and most people are pretty cool and she'll be fine, to imagining the most horrible things.
Her flight leaves out of Dallas Wednesday afternoon so my husband is driving her up there and I'm here at home trying to not stress out over this.

Yay I did it!!

I hemmed and hawed and worried about getting one that wouldn't meet my expectations, but after pestering the cute Best Buy guys for an hour I finally decided on one and brought it home. We set it up and I queue'd up my DVR recording of "Meet the New Boss" and OMG omg omg omg!!! It was like watching if for the first time!!
I can actually see the eye color of everyone!! Jared, Jensen and Misha!! Like unbelievably bright and clear and I can see their eye color!!
LOL!!
So I am beyond happy with my purchase and it's the best Christmas present I've ever gotten myself :)

Jun. 27th, 2011 01:34 am According to Jared's twitter tonight, he's in Austin! I live in Austin!! Omg, Jared's in Austin!! Like he could be 5 miles away from me right now.
I was driving in downtown Austin this morning for work. He could have been there and I drove right by him!! What if I had actually seen him?
I'm just all fluttery and stuff now. I'm so silly, lol!!
Then I think what if he drove to my house and then knocked on my door? Now I'm just delusional as all the blood is leaving my head because Jared is in the same city I am!!.

Relax until we open gifts tonight, then tomorrow drive to my Mom's to see the family!
I'm dying for a Supernatural fix! Been watching recorded episodes from TNT. Looking for epic stories at fanfiction.net or from the communities here.
Thinking too much about the 28 Jan episode. What was up with that look that Sam gave Dean? I really prefer SoullessSam, I hope it doesn't revert back to PuppySam. I mean, I've talked to my husband about this (he doesn't even watch the show). So does this wall erase his memories of hell? He was only there, like what, a week? If a month is a year, then a week is 3 months. So three months in hell? Or are they talking about the year in hell that Sammy's soul was there? What about his time topside? He killed innocent people in the line of duty. Does he get to forget that? His soul is back. Is he going to suffer now?
I hope my expectations aren't too high. Or even worse, they are going to stretch this out over the other 10 episodes of the season. I'm too used to watching TNT or reading fanfic, so I can get through the whole story arc in a day.

Argh, I'm so frustrated right now.
My husband's sister moved from Midland to Austin. Since she's been here I have discovered that the phrase 'it's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there' is so true.
My sister in law was awesome when she lived 8 hours away and we saw her once a year.
But she lives 5 minutes away now. She used to come over every day and complain.....about EVERYTHING. My husband finally told her to stay away.
She used to come over at 7:30 in the morning. Who gets up that early? Not us. We're having sex in the morning and roll out of bed around 9 or 10. So no coming over before noon.
She needed a cell phone as a hospice nursed and my husband thought he was being sweet and let her use his phone. I changed our plan to cover her day time calls for her job. Well then she gets herself thrown in the mental hospital, she quits her job, but she still makes day time calls like she's working.
And she's not. She's using 80% of our minutes and paying 20% of the bill.
I need to handle this with her. It's just very frustrating.

This is one of the big problems with letting your kids continue to live with you.
We have a small house, and after our 25th anniversary, my husband and I talked at length about our fantasies. I like being spanked, hard and long. I like being tied up.
Since my admission to him, we pretty much have sex every day, anytime of the day that we can get away with.
So I guess one morning, we thought everyone was sleeping, but our daughter was up and heard us.
She said she was traumatized for a day or so, and when she told us, I was mortified. But I think once she told us and got it off her chest she made some comment about how it was ok, because now she knows her Mom is a dirty whore :p
LOL!! She certainly has her father's wit.
So I guess she's ok with it now. I'm still a little embarrassed. We just have to be more careful? Or get her to move out.
